Speaking

I love getting on a stage!

Virtual webinars, live streams, podcasts, workshops, or big events are all opportunities to connect with an audience, share inspiring stories, teach life-changing principles, and impact countless lives!

Date Nights

Back before COVID ruined everything, I planned a series of date night events for couples around Utah.

The events were intentionally curated to be fun, uplifting, and leave couples with something specific they could do to improve their relationship.

I hired magicians, provided refreshments, and even gave away a trip to Disneyworld with the help of my sponsor, Homie!

I planned, marketed, promoted, emceed, and spoke at every one of these events.

This series of Date Nights was capped off with a huge event featuring world-famous marriage researchers, and NYT Bestselling Authors, Drs. John and Juile Gottman.

Over 3,200 people were in attendance. A sold-out crowd!

Yup! That's me on stage at my Date Night event.
And the Gottmans said it was the largest gathering they’d ever spoken in front of with them as the main attraction.
It took a herculean to pull this off! But at the end of the day, these were the results:

   ✅  Over 3,200 tickets sold
✅  Over 1,500 of the Gottman’s new book “Eight Dates” sold (included with ticket purchase)
   ✅  $30k in sponsorships
✅  $40k in workshops (sold from the stage)

And most importantly, the Gottman’s, their publishers, their agents, and the Gottman Institute’s marketing team loved the event so much, they proposed we plan eight more date nights across the country as part of their book tour.

Alas, COVID but the kibosh on that exciting idea.

At the end of the day, we did roughly $161k in revenue in about 60 days.

Here are a few other images from events I’ve planned over the years:

Podcasting

 I’ve been podcasting since 2012.

It all started when I quit my job to go on a cross country road trip in search of the secrets of true love.

I sold everything I owned, raised $30k on Kickstarter, and set out to interview the most madly-in-love couples I could find.

I figured if I could talk to enough couples who had the kind of relationship I dreamed of, I might figure out how to make love work for me!

That journey changed my life.

Since then I’ve interviewed some of the most incredible couples, authors, therapists, researchers, and experts who taught me everything I know about what makes relationships work.

Here are some of the results I’ve had on my podcasting journey:

✅  Over 1.5MM total lifetime downloads between the multiple shows I host
✅  Opportunities to speak in front of incredible audiences
✅  Press and coverage on platforms like Good Morning America, ABC News, KSL, and Yahoo! Finance (that was a weird one)
✅  I developed some pretty decent editing and interviewing skills
✅  Oh… and I got married! And my wife and I have something the kid of relationship most people only dream of.
